Best food to serve for a football game?
Personally, I love to marinate a nice tri-tip in beer, make a good seasoning rub, grill it, and slice it in strips for tacos, burritos and the like.
I usually have a second grill going full chicken wings with a big pot of my own buffalo sauce going (V8, lots of lime juice, lots of Franks Louisiana hot sauce, and the Colonels secret blend of herbs and spices…)
*Tri-tip is also awesome on nachos…. mostly a California thing…but if you can get some, it’s the bomb!
And yeah…all the beer, soda, chips etc you can get, the better!

i love to do a super nacho buffet, big containers of nacho cheese, beans, beef, ground meat, tomatoes, peppers, onions, gaucomole, salsa, olives, and corn tortillas, and flour ones in a warmer on the side in case the nachos are not enough. and then do the bowls out of large size corn tortillas shaped like salad bowls, eat it all, i dare ya!!
How did you get the Colonels Secret, ahhhhaa
I like to put on a big pot of home made Chili and macaroni noodles so people can mix the two.
Well for an appetizer Nachos and cheese is a must. But as for the actual meal cook something easy and classic don’t make it all fancy make something that everyone will love and don’t spent to much time thinking about or worrying. What ever you cook I’m sure will be great. So cook somethin classic and not hard to make like: hamburgers, chicken wings, etc. . .
(Every football weekend my dad maked potato skins. That when you cut the potatoes in half and scoop all the potatoes out of it. Then you put cheese and bacon into the skin.It is so delicous. Try it!)
wings, bbq sandwiches, doritos, and every soda nameable
i love ordering out and getting many different things, chineese food, wings and chicken tenders, and pizza and strombolis, plus making some hot dogs and burgers. and of course chips dip and soda
Whatever floats your boat.
Best thing you can serve is finger foods, hot wings, chicken strips, chips and dip, have the wife make veggie tray for the females,.
So . . . what time do you want me to get to your place on Sunday? Sounds good, bro! Have you tried something called Mexican Pie? You make it in a pie plate, with a layer of cream cheese on the bottom (about 1/4 inch, or so). Then you add the mixture of one can of no beans chili, one small chopped onion, and a can (or fresh) chopped jalapeno peppers. You top it off with shredded Monteray Jack chesse and bake it for 10 – 15 minutes. When it’s done (and cooled off a little) you eat with tortilla chips – like a dip. Good eatin’! My wife’s been making it for the last 15 years, along with the Buffalo wings and chips with fresh salsa.
Don’t forget the chips and dip.
WINGS AND COORS
WAFFLES
Hot wings, chips, burgers, hot dogs, etc. Another good idea is to have a large vegetable tray for those people who might be on a diet, or who just like vegetables lol.
Personally, I enjoy some nachos, a hot dog or hamburger, and a soda. All this food keeps me energized to watch the game and it makes the game for me, a whole lot better.
